In every strategic plan, there's always the question: where do we want to go? Just as crucial, though, is asking where we don't want to go. For NARS, that meant refusing to dilute the brand's daring, boundary-pushing identity. Because when it comes to NARS, being explicit isn't just a tagline — it's a directive. Our challenge was to strike the perfect balance between belonging and standing out in every communication touchpoint.
This approach set the stage for NARS's iconic 30-year milestone, where we brought to life everyone's most unapologetic desire: to be explicit without excuses or regrets.
To connect a brand that rarely invests in influencers with top-tier creators, we designed an intimate experience rooted in NARS’ DNA. Inspired by founder François Nars and his photography background, we hosted a closed event with 10 major influencers for the launch of a complexion product.
The experience combined an exclusive masterclass on skin preparation led by an iconic makeup artist with a portrait session by a renowned fashion photographer, Lufre. Each guest left with an impeccable look and later received a museum-quality printed portrait, transforming the launch into a personal keepsake.
